The Swine Flu pandemic outbreak is here to stay.
It's time to finally stand up and take notice. If you have not already started your preparations and planning, then (apart from shame on you) it's time you did something about it.
The question is of course, "What do you need to you do"?
Swine flu is an influenza type no different to bird flu or human flu, except that it occurs in pigs instead of humans or birds. Scientists have always said that the global pandemics we have experienced throughout history (at the rate of about three a century) are the result of the animal virus jumping from one species to another and combining to form a lethal form of influenza which is also infectious.
As the human body is more similar to a pig's body than a bird, the path of least resistance for the virus is between pigs and humans. When a bird influenza strain makes the jump to pigs, it is possible for it to combine with the pig form of the virus which can easily jump to humans, and then subsequently between humans.
This is what appears to have happened. The DNA of the Swine Flu outbreak virus contains bird flu and human flu.
Regardless of which mammal this pandemic strain has come from we all must now start getting our businesses prepared.
Fortunately there is a lot of information available on the internet on Bird Flu which can also be used for Swine Flu, to help get planning underway. This includes a lot of housekeeping (both for businesses and homes) as well as stockpiling things like face masks and hand antiseptics. With the latter you'll have to be quick though as we have already seen skyrocketing sales of all of these items. As for the former there's also plenty to get on with.
The problem with the information available there's a lot of rough to go through to find the diamonds. The diamonds being the tidbits of useful practical information, ideas you can use to actually do something, rather than theory and education.
For example, what should you do when sickness is discovered in the workplace and your staff evacuate their workstations and offices in fear of being the next victim. This will happen, even if the 'sick' person doesn't actually have the disease. How do you get the clean up done and get everyone back to their stations quickly and efficiently?
If you want your staff to come to work when the pandemic has really taken hold on us you're going to have to convince them that the office is the safest place to be outside of the home. They have to know you have plans in place and that you know what you're doing when it comes to protecting their safety.
This means you need to have a sterilized office environment where illness is checked at the door. You would need compulsory temperature checks for staff and visitors at every entrance, sterilization mats, face masks to hand out and hand sanitization outlets. Delivery staff can drop off outside, and packages disinfected before being brought in.
Keep meetings to an absolute minimum, but if they are unavoidable maintain a distance of at least one meter between attendees, and more if you can.
You can save yourself a lot of effort, and more importantly time, by going straight to where the 'diamonds in the rough' are. Whether the pandemic came from birds or swines you'll find all the answers you need to get your pandemic preparedness completed and your pandemic stockpiling bought and delivered at Bird Flu Manual Online.

Swine Flu - How to Protect Yourself and How to Prepare For Hard Times
Wow! What is going on in the world these days? It seems that every time I turn around there is some sort of bad news about the economy or real estate market and now the infamous Swine Flu which has reached epidemic proportions! News and Panic of the Swine Flu is spreading like wild fire, but there are things you can do to prepare and protect yourself as well as clever ways to use this opportunity to make smarter decisions for your financial future!
What is the Swine Flu?
The Swine flu is caused by a strain of flu that is native to pigs. Symptoms of swine flu appear to be similar to other general strains of the flu. Most cases appear to exhibit only mild symptoms, however there are some which have become worse and even fatal.
3 Simple Ways to Prepare and Protect Yourself:
There are some very simple ways to protect yourself from catching Swine Flu:
1-Masks: If you live in an area where there are larger outbreaks and the sickness is spreading quickly, it would be smart to wear a surgical mask to protect yourself from the spread of airborne pathogens. Also cover your mouth whenever you have to sneeze or cough, using a tissue that you can throw away.
2-Hand Sanitizer: This is a simple and inexpensive way to kill germs on your hands to both protect yourself and limit spread of any germs from person to person or commonly touched items such as door handles or stair railings.
3-Wash your Hands!: This is the most obvious but sometimes most missed method of protecting yourself from the spread of any illness. Don't forget to wash your hands!
Swine Flu's Effect on Business and E-commerce:
It seems that nothing drives people to the media and the news like the breakout of a pandemic. The Swine flu has people listening to news updates daily and even hourly for any new facts about what is going on with this worldwide illness. The swine flu may even stir up increased business for some online business people. The fear of getting sick may cause some to want to stay home and avoid contact with large groups, increasing the likelihood of people who will choose to stay home and do their shopping and business online.
The more I hear about recent scares on the news such as swine flu and the recession, the more relieved I am to have chosen an online career instead of a traditional 9-5 job or bricks-and-mortar style business. E-commerce and Online Marketing is just so much more resistant to the effects of the recession or the negative impacts of an epidemic like the swine flu. Plus, by working online and at home, I definitely don't have to worry as much about the chances of infection from constant person to person contact.
While the Swine flu is definitely nothing to be excited about, it is a very real threat and everyone should do what they can to be aware and protect themselves. I also think that a savvy, forward-thinking person can take this opportunity and make the most of it by making smart health and business decisions for their future!

Prevent Swine Flu Using a Safe, Natural, Proven Method
Is it possible to prevent swine flu from infecting you when, around the world, public health authorities are on high alert against the threat of a global swine flu pandemic as I write this. If you wonder what you can do to protect yourself, and your family, you'll want to read this article very carefully.
Twenty people have already died in Mexico of "Influenza A H1N1 swine virus", a new strain that has never been seen before. For some time scientists have been predicting a new flu virus that could cause a global pandemic, and authorities are already suggesting that this is the long awaited new virus that will cause it.
Health authorities are concentrating on containing this outbreak with targeted pharmaceuticals. Early tests indicate that this particular virus is sensitive to two antiviral drugs, Tamiflu and Relenza, which several countries have stockpiled for just such an emergency.
In addition, there may be calls for mass vaccinations to contain the spread of the disease, as there were in 1976. In that year the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of The United States Public Health Service recommended vaccinating the entire population to prevent a pandemic.
However, vaccinations pose considerable threats because they contain toxic ingredients, including formaldehyde. The list of possible side effects can even include death. In fact, in 1976, the vaccine manufacturers insisted that the federal government indemnify them against claims of adverse reactions, as a requirement for release of the vaccines. You may wonder why they would do that if the vaccines were safe? According to Marc Siegel MD, an associate professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, the 1976 vaccination program probably led to almost 1,000 cases of ascending paralysis (Guillain Barre Syndrome).
It's no wonder that more and more people have become distrustful of such vaccines, despite dire warnings from governments that they are necessary to protect us. We will come back to the possible "hidden motives" for such warnings in a moment.
The first concern is whether there is anything you can do to safely protect yourself, and your loved ones, from these inevitable viral threats, without resorting to questionable vaccines? Is there a natural way to fortify your body's defenses against both known and unknown viruses, including the latest swine flu?
Most people are not aware that, long before the modern era of patented pharmaceuticals, natural substances were used to effectively combat influenza epidemics. For example, in the worldwide influenza pandemic of 1918-20, two British military physicians, Oliver and Cantab, were treating Indian Gurkha soldiers. They encountered an 80% mortality rate among the soldiers who developed pneumonia. In desperation, they administered intravenous infusions of hydrogen peroxide and reported more than 50% reduction in mortality.
In fact, hydrogen peroxide is so effective in rendering viruses "noninfectious" that a US patent application was recently filed for "methods for producing a vaccine composition containing a pathogen that is rendered noninfectious by exposure to hydrogen peroxide. The methods disclosed herein are suitable for the preparation of vaccines for a wide variety of pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and parasites." Interestingly, hydrogen peroxide replaces the currently used ingredient, formaldehyde, in this process. (See USPTO Application #: 20070031451. Title: Inactivating pathogens with hydrogen peroxide for vaccine production)
If you wonder why hydrogen peroxide, which is readily available for little cost, has not been used in combating modern viruses, you don't need to look very far to find out. As any good investigative reporter will tell you, "Follow the money." If there are "hidden motives" or conflicts of interest in public health policy, this is how to find them.
According to Wikipedia, "Many nations, as well as the World Health Organization, are working to stockpile anti-viral drugs in preparation for a possible pandemic. Oseltamivir (trade name Tamiflu) is the most commonly sought drug, since it is available in pill form... Tamiflu was originally discovered by Gilead Sciences and licensed to Roche for late-phase development and marketing... Donald Rumsfeld, a shareholder in Gilead Sciences, has profited from the US government stockpiling of oseltamivir in case of an influenza pandemic."
Peter Kang reports on Forbes website, in an article dated 02.01.06, that "Gilead's marketing partner Roche reported 2005 Tamiflu sales of $1.2 billon with approximately half of that amount related to pandemic stockpiling."
It will not surprise anyone who has sufficiently researched the field of alternative health to learn that pharmaceutical corporations, and their shareholders, are making enormous profits because of the fear of pandemics. While it may be going too far to suggest that this fear is actually encouraged by these corporate interests, it is certainly undeniable that fear is very good for their bottom line.
What is also well known to such researchers is that there are effective natural substance that you can use to build your defenses so as to prevent swine flu viruses, and most others, from infecting you, and your loved ones. Thanks to the Internet, you now have access to information about safe, low cost alternative remedies that can help you prevent swine flu, as well as protecting you from an astonishingly "wide variety of pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and parasites."
I encourage you to do your own research to find the information that can empower you to take control of your own healthcare choices. The best antidote to media fostered hysteria is accurate knowledge of all your alternatives.

Avoiding the Swine Flu
Although this new strain of swine flu that is currently making rounds in Mexico and around the world is simply another strain of influenza, due to its ability to easily affect anyone it comes in contact with caution should be taken to avoid becoming sick with swine flu. If you have children, are particularly susceptible to colds and flu, or have any kind of immune problems then you should certainly do everything you can to no come down with swine flu.
Here are a few things you can do to keep from getting the swine flu:
1) Avoid public places: schools, churches, and public transportation are places where people are in continuous close contact, making it the perfect place for illnesses like the swine flu to multiply.
2) Wash and disinfect: wash your hands anytime you come into contact with someone else, as well as before and after you eat. Buy some Lysol disinfectant and use it on your doorknobs, counters and anywhere you touch regularly.
3) Avoid sick people: stay away from anyone who is showing flu symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or fever.
4) Stay home: while this may not be an option for most people, the more you avoid contact with others the better chance you have of not picking up the flu. Try heading to public places (like the grocery store) when they are less busy, and take this opportunity to catch up on some housework or home improvement.
5) Be prepared: pick up some Tamiflu and enough food to last a few days, including lots of juice in case you get sick. Locate your nearest emergency center and pay attention to public announcements about the swine flu.
6) Get a mask: wearing an approved filter mask can prevent the transmission of the swine flu from one person to another. Consider getting one to wear if you need to head out to a public area where the flu can spread easily.
For most people who get the swine flu they will simply have a few days of flu like symptoms, however it is important to keep an eye out for more serious symptoms such as a high fever, difficulty breathing or loss of consciousness. With some precautions we can avoid the spread of swine flu.

Swine Flu Explained
Swine Flu is a virus that usually affects pigs, but recently has begun to infect humans as well. Understanding this disease can help dispel some of the panic and alarm that many people are raising as this virus spreads across all continents.
There are many different types of flu, and flu viruses are able to mutate into new formations all the time. The swine flu is so named because the genetic structure closely resembles that of a flu virus that normally infects pigs. Like most flu viruses, this virus is likely transmitted through bodily fluids, such as those that are expelled when someone coughs or sneezes. This is why many people choose to wear N95 masks, which filter out the infectious particles.
When a person is infected it can take anywhere from one to four days for symptoms to appear. This strain of flu has symptoms that are similar to regular strains of influenza, which is why it is so hard to tell it apart from other strains.Flu symptoms include coughing, sneezing, aches and pains, fever, chills, vomiting and diarrhea.
Influenza can be dangerous, even deadly, for those with weak immune systems, the young and old. Adults who are in good health will normally recover within a week to ten days without medical intervention. Parents should keep a close eye on their children and watch for signs of difficulty breathing, such as blue skin as well as sluggishness or high fever which may be an indication that professional assistance should be sought.
The swine flu has struck in the United States before, back in 1976. At this time officials thought that a pandemic would occur, so they undertook to vaccinate a large portion of the population. However at the time the flu virus was not virulent enough to cause a pandemic. Since then there have only been about 12 cases of this flu and no deaths.
So why is this particular outbreak considered more serious? It would appear that the current strain of swine flu is much more contagious, and has a wider impact on our immune system than previous strains. It can spread quite rapidly and is more difficult to keep under control. While many different strains of the flu circulate the world at any one time, few of them are very dangerous. This flu appears to be much more serious due to its ability to infect more people and cause death.
Anyone who is in contact with the public should protect themselves from contracting the swine flu by avoiding anyone showing flu symptoms. Frequent hand-washing is also vital. Those who have flu symptoms should stay home to keep from infecting others. Additionally there are some over the counter drugs that appear to help limit the seriousness of the flu virus. Tamiflu and Relenza have previously shown activity against this flu virus, although no one is certain that these drugs will help against the current strain. In the meantime the World Health Organization is attempting to identify the flu gene for this virus so that a vaccine can be created.
